WARNINGS: none

Stellar Clouds Challenge: challenge 18: Summertime
Disclaimer: All fantasy, none meant to hurt, harm or upset anyone.

Author's note: Here’s my entry for the June Stellar Clouds challenge, just a tiny bit late.

Summertime Kisses
Apologies for the lateness of this post. Helps when you're on the right fucking website.

If anyone is even still interested, Shay suggested Summertime / Vacation for the theme for June.
 Hi, all.

Gonna pick up with where we left off on LJ over two years ago (wow).  Our first DW challenge, in honor of our lovely new home, will be fics that mention or feature:

dreams.

Feel free to post your fics directly to this community, I will create a tag for this challenge.

If you are new and have any ideas for tags, etc, feel free to message myself or [personal profile] shay_unknown  or comment here.  If you have any questions about anything, we are here to help. If you would like a user tag created, comment here as well.

I'm thankful that there seemed to be interest in reviving this community.

If YOU have a prompt suggestion, be sure to visit the suggestion post here
Hello fellow ficcers!

I don't know about you, but personally I can't believe it is June already. As we are approaching the middle of the year, we have decided to challenge you clever folks to write us the middle of a story. Maybe we jump in in the middle of a conversation that will change the characters' lives forever. Maybe the fic starts just as Dom is dropping to his knees to suck Matt off. Maybe we join the action moments after Matt has asked Dom's opinion on a new pair of glittery leggings. The choice is yours.

Have fun!

As always, feel free to contact myself, [livejournal.com profile] millionstar or [livejournal.com profile] evil_angel if you have any suggestions for future challenges or feedback about the community.

Much love to you all.
Hi all.

For this month's challenge we offer three pictures to you for inspiration:

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact [livejournal.com profile] evil_angel, [livejournal.com profile] bluebirdwine, or myself.
Hello, everyone.

This months challenge is basically anything Spring-ish! Spring scene, lambs, blossom, Easter, or even April Fools/pranks! This is a pretty open challenge, so the possibilities are endless. We look forward to seeing what you all come up with!

As always, contact me, [livejournal.com profile] millionstar, or [livejournal.com profile] bluebirdwine if you have any questions!
Hello there guys!  This month's challenge was suggested by the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] evil_angel, and we hope that you'll give it a go!

March 17-24 is National Clean Out Your Closet Week - and it was simply too brilliant to pass up, so to use that as a theme is the challenge for March.

The possibilities for this particular challenge are endless, literally and metaphorically speaking!  Hope to see y'all have fun with it!

As always if you have questions you can contact me, [livejournal.com profile] evil_angel, or [livejournal.com profile] bluebirdwine.  And don't forget to share your fics on [livejournal.com profile] museslash!
Happy New Year! We hope you have all enjoyed the festive season and are looking forward to a happy, healthy, and slashy 2014.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the community in 2013, whether as an author, beta, reader or supporter. We had some great responses to the challenges that were set. Hopefully we will grow bigger and better this year. Special thanks must be given to [livejournal.com profile] easilyglorious, who helped moderate the community but has decided not to continue in that role this year. In her place, the lovely [livejournal.com profile] evil_angel has volunteered to join the mod team, and [livejournal.com profile] millionstar and I are thrilled to have her onboard.

The other big change for the community this year is that we have decided to liberate ourselves from the burden of monthly deadlines. There were definitely times last year when I felt inspired by a particular challenge but just didn't have the time to put something together before the end of the month, and I'm guessing that some of the rest of you might have felt like that at times too. So, in the future, we will continue to post a challenge at the start of each month, but you will be free to respond to that challenge at any point during the year. Just make sure you tag your contribution with the challenge name when you do post it. If you have any questions or you would like to give us some feedback, feel free to contact one of the mods.

Fittingly, our first challenge for the year is new beginnings. Go wild, my friends!

As usual, if you have a challenge to suggest you can do so here.

Cheers,
L

This should come as no surprise to any of you, but December's challenge is Christmas-based. Break out the mistletoe, don your gay apparel, get the boys drunk on egg nog.... Whatever you do, have yourselves a very Muse-y Christmas!

You all probably know this by now, but in case you don't: we have a challenge suggestion post here, and you can contact myself, [livejournal.com profile] easilyglorious, or [livejournal.com profile] millionstar at any time with any feedback you may have.

Thank you to all of you - readers and writers - for supporting the community this year. On behalf of your mods, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2014. Much love to you all.
Hi everyone,

The time has come! No, not to destroy your supremacy, although I'd happily wreck Matthew James any day, but to kick off challenge #8 on [livejournal.com profile] stellarclouds.

And it's Pick-Your-Own-Characters month! A few days ago, we did a volunteering call to gage interest from authors. And as you can see here, boy, did we have interest.

So many of our lovely authors volunteered characters from their stories, that it makes me very happy to be part of the community. I hope you are too, and I hope one of the pairings catches your fancy and you put them in a new light for everyone else to enjoy. Please don't forget to check the original owner's hard limits before you write. Otherwise, don't forget to tag your stories and unleash the muses. (Okay, bad puns stop now.)
I hear y'all scrambling for the calendar. No, it's not October 1st yet. We do need your help in running the next monthly challenge though and this volunteering call is aimed at all writers in the community.

Yes, we still want to encourage everyone to write stories, but we're taking it one step further next month. We're asking you to volunteer one, a pair or more characters from one of your existing stories, to be used by a new writer in a one-off story, in the same universe or a different setting of their choosing.

Volunteering writers:
- please comment on this entry if you're giving permission for your characters to be used, specifying which characters in particular are subject to your approval,
- please include any hard limits on what you're not comfortable seeing your characters do.

Prompt-taking writers:
- please remember stories must be one-offs, the characters are just on loan to you for one month,
- if any of your ideas border on touching one of the hard limits expressed by the character owner, please reach out to respective writer and discuss.

Stories may be posted starting with October 1st, as usual.

Go crazy, kids!

Hello all!

We decided to keep it simple this month and give another picture prompt post a try.  In that spirit, we humbly offer one word and one photo:

Rain.

Any variation of the two will be accepted.  Your fic can revolve simply around rain, or you can give us a take on a kiss in the rain, like in the photo.  Either way, we can't wait to see your submissions if you choose to participate!

As always if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact myself, [livejournal.com profile] bluebirdwine, or [livejournal.com profile] easilyglorious!
Go on, you know you want to. Lean physiques, skin tight costumes, capes and masks, junk on display, what's better than superheroes to get your blood and ours pumping during this scorching August?

That's the pitch I used on [livejournal.com profile] millionstar and [livejournal.com profile] bluebirdwine at least, and I hope you'll agree with me that I'm the m***** f***ing bomb when it comes to selling an idea.

As always, thanks to all of you for participating in the community. If you have an idea for a challenge, visit the Challenge Suggestion Post and drop us a line. If you have any other comments you'd like to make about the community, send a message to one of us. As a reminder, SC moderators are [livejournal.com profile] millionstar, [livejournal.com profile] bluebirdwine and myself.

Leaving you with a drawing that a dear friend (Julia) made of our boys. It is quite fitting. :D

Have fun, and don't forget, unleash monsters or superpowers!

Hello!
Welcome to our third challenge, thanks to everyone who has participated in the community so far - and if you've not had the opportunity to yet, perhaps this month's challenge will persuade you. :)
You recall, last week, the brilliant [livejournal.com profile] easilyglorious made the post that entails one part of this month's challenge - which is for writers to work in pairs in a collaboration.  If you missed it and still wish to find a partner to write with, please, go for it!  There is certainly still time to do that; we just thought it might be helpful to give you all a heads-up so you could pair up.
Having said that, the theme for May also comes from the Challenge Suggestion Post!   So, humble Stellarclouders, here's what entails the other part of the May challenge:
Bring A Lonely, Unfilled [livejournal.com profile] mkmeme Prompt To Life!

Head over to our wonderful kink meme community, find a prompt that has yet to be filled, and bring it to life in all of it's Museslashy glory!   This challenge will remain open until May 31.

I think that's everything.  Any questions, please feel free to comment here with them.

ALSO, if you have yet to do so, feel free to claim an author tag!  :D   Asking for a tag does not, in any way, commit you to writing for any certain prompt, it just tags you for whenever you may wish to join in!

Congratulations and thanks to all who participated in our very first challenge last month, whether as writers, betas, commenters, or readers. We had some brilliant stories posted and I would encourage you all to read them all and leave a comment if you can find the time. I'm pretty behind myself, but I understand how much it means to writers to know that their work is being read and appreciated, so if you've enjoyed the fic you read and you have a few minutes to spare, click that comment button and let the author know!

Now, onto our second challenge...

Challenge Two )

If you have a suggestion for a future challenge, we have set up a Challenge Suggestion Post. Comments are screened, so don't be shy!

You can also contact any of the moderators ([livejournal.com profile] millionstar, [livejournal.com profile] easilyglorious, and myself) at any time with queries, feedback or concerns.

Big hugs to you all, and thanks again for taking part!
Hello everyone and welcome to the first ever challenge hosted here at Stellarclouds. :)

We shall keep these going much in the same style that we did on [livejournal.com profile] museslash.  We are here to celebrate prompts and challenge ourselves as writers.  Therefore, because I am desperately poor, there will be a distinct lack of physical prizes sadly, but I do intend to create a banner you can place on your LJ profile to pimp out your involvement with the comm upon completing a challenge. :D

We will shift the challenge posting responsibilities between myself, and my lovely co-mods, [livejournal.com profile] bluebirdwine and [livejournal.com profile] easilyglorious.  If you have an idea for a prompt that you would like to offer us, I will be creating a separate post where you can do that very thing.  Comments there will be screened for your pleasure. Don't hesitate to contact any of us at any time with questions and concerns, after all, this is your community.

Challenge One )
Other notes: When a challenge is posted, you have until the last day of the month to take part in it and submit your fics.  You can post them directly to the community or you can link back to a public link on your personal LJ.  Feel free to share them on [livejournal.com profile] museslash as well, actually that is VERY much encouraged!  The cycle will start again on the first day of the next month.  Simple as that.  If you want to participate more than once in a given month, feel free!

If you have not yet seen it, please stop by the author's tag request post so we can get everybody in the system who wishes to be there.  And to all of the members who are here to read, support and cheer the writers on, thank you all so much!

Give [livejournal.com profile] bluebirdwine some love for purchasing a paid account for the community. :)   Thanks, dear!

I am still in the process of adding various tags.

(If I've missed anything critical, please feel free to point it out to me.)
